This is the same performance that Deutsche Grammophon remastered and released with improved sound as part of its Originals series, and at the same price. Why they see fit to keep both versions in their catalog is anyone's guess, but it's indicative of the confusion that reigns at most of the major labels, where they have so many recordings of the same music that no one there knows what to do with them. You may want to consider this performance, but get the one from Originals, as it sounds better. --David Hurwitz
