Great recording...bad packaging

"This is a good recording on period instruments and forte piano of the 5 Beethoven concertos. My main issue with this recording is the fact that Virgin tried to cram it into 2 discs instead of three and removed the Choral Fantasy. Thus, I have ordered all three discs to the Robert Levin/Gardiner recording. They split the third concerto between the two discs, not the best decision in my opinion. The playing is very good, well written candenzas, nice sound. Roger Norrington puts together a good ensemble and a good sound. This is a great budget recording, but I would recommend anyone to find the three discs individually or the buy the 4 your pleasure pack by Virgin with the Choral Fantasy and other piano works.
