Golden Feelings takes you back to a period that never existe

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Beck's first attempt at an album. If you are a midnite vultures, sea change, the information fan, you may not like this piece..it is amazing in that it is one of the rawest pieces of his music around..he is creating and he doesn't care what you think..it is like hearing an Alan Lomax recording from the 30s on some lost porch..you can hear lawn mowers, weed whackers, foot stomping, etc...this is definitely more for the weirdos that like stereopathetic soulmanure or one foot in the grave.

..my favorites, ones that I like to hear every day are as follows: special people, magic station wagon, bad energy, schmoozer, heartland feeling, and my favorite of all--- gettin home...again like an Alan Lomax from yesteryear set in Silverlake..Totally confused is great..it appears on a few b-sides, but this version kills!!!

It has been out of print since 1993."
