CD Reviews

A Great Buy For BCR Fans

"I've purchased other Bay City Roller CD's in the past. Several of them were NOT the Bay City Rollers we feel in love with in the 70's! You can rest assured that this CD is just what us old fans are looking for and it contains a great mix of songs! The only exception being I did not recognize the version of "Keep On Dancing" that was on this CD. All the other songs will bring back great memories!"
A rollercoasting trip through Bay City.

"The best, most complete and thoroughly researched Rollers compilation out there. Includes all their biggest and best hits - safe for 1974's "All Of Me Loves All Of You", but that's a lot less than any other compilation is missing - from 1971's original "Keep On Dancing" (feat.first BCR singer Nobby Clark) to 1979's should-have-been-a-big-hit "Turn On The Radio" (feat.the multi-talented Duncan Faure on lead vocals) What can I say? The title says it all, really. The music is much more versatile than their critics would like you to believe; from honest but undemanding early 70's Bubblegum to bombastic Power Pop, via disco- era AOR fluff - they did it all and more. It's only a "privilidge" the ignorantly snobbish can afford; to dismiss them as just another shallow and forgettable teenybop band, 'cause they were and are so much more. If you dare to find out, "Best Selection" is the perfect place to start your journey of discovering the most underrated band (possibly) ever! - at least until that long-awaited box set will appear, if ever (when, Clive?) Big bloody Star what?!?"
