Forming in 2006, Banda de Turistas quickly turned heads across their hometown of Buenos Aires. The retro rock group caught the ear of local rock icon Adrian Dargelo (of Babasoncicos) and he praised them as one of his favorite new acts. Pulp's legendary vocalist Jarvis Cocker expressed his support even before they released their debut EP. Rolling Stone Argentina hailed the group as 2008's "Best New Artist" and MTV Latin America named them as one of South America's "Best of the Year." Nacional's upcoming album combines the best of Banda de Turistas' first two full-length releases.
