Not the Baillie & the Boys I knew

"In the mid- to late eighties, there were several bands that were oddly grouped into "country" music. Baillie & the Boys was one of them. Kathie Baillie and her group had some of the tightest harmonies and most touching lyrics ever to grace commercial music. This CD is reminiscent of the original group, but lacking the fire in terms of harmonies and lyrics. "Heartless Night" is a re-mix of one of the original group's tunes."

"Its great to hear from Baillie and the Boys again! I love the songs on this cd, especially the catchy "Lovin' Every Minute of It." Its impossible to sit still during that peice. The album also includes some moving ballads, like "The God's Honest Truth." Most of the songs were written or co-written by Kathie and Michael (members of the group) and include beautiful lyrics teamed up with flowing melodies. The intruments are a little louder on this album then on their previous ones but this adds to their sound, giving it an even richer texture. This is definatly thier best album so far and it can be enjoyed from start to finish because each song is a winner on this cd."

As someone who has seen them perform and listened to them for over two decades, I can honestly tell you this CD reflects the true essence of the band -- the songs and the spirit of the project truly move my soul. I totally recommend this to anyone who enjoys music that touches the heart -- you won't be disappointed. Kathie Baillie still has the best voice in country music!"
