What a Contrast!!!

"Who ever dreamed of putting the pop-rock-country sound of Exile with the great harmonies and the country-bluegrass sound of the O'Kanes, and grab some of their radio hits and put it on one CD? Sounds crazy, right? Not to me - I'm a big fan of diversity!! Back in the day, I loved Exile and I especially loved the O'Kanes. Every single song on this release is good (if you like these two groups). I have to say while I do like the Exile songs, especially "Just One Kiss" and "I Can't Get Close Enough"; I mostly play the O'Kanes' songs. They were a wonderful blend of modern country and old time bluegrass with beautiful harmonies that would almost make the Judds jealous! I absolutely love "Oh, Darlin" and "Can't Stop My Heart From Loving You" and also the amazing instrumentation of "One True Love". This CD was country music in the 80's - a little bit of everything. They took two groups from both extremes and put their hits on one disc... and I'm so glad they did!!"
