Inspired Performance on Period Instruments

"Wonderful insightful phrasing in these inspirational performances. The inherent problem with original instrumentation is that so often the instruments did not stay in tune, and such is the case here. Other reviewers mention that the ensemble suffers a little from this fact. But, I was more than able to tolerate it.

Savall always delivers exhilarating performances, and this recording is no exception!"
