Synopsis

Product Description
What better way to bond with your baby than with this wonderful collection of Bach?s greatest hits! Studies have shown that listening to classical music will increase the intelligence of your baby. Many of Bach?s all-time favorites are included here, including Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Sheep May Safely Graze, Air on the G String, Violin Concerto No. 1 and Jesu, Joy of Man?s Desiring. These works and more are played by the Lumiere String Quartet, a quartet of some of the finest string players in New York City, with the addition of the beautiful-sounding Sato Moughalian on flute. Unlike some CDs meant for babies that are played on synthesizers and ?dumbed down,? this one uses a real string quartet recorded in one of the greatest halls in the world. The sound is so rich, warm and beautiful that you?ll want to enjoy this recording even when your baby?s asleep! We think your Baby?s Got Bach?and you will too!

CD Reviews

Raising baby
George D. OBrien | Middlebury, VT, USA | 12/22/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I think it should be "Bach got baby." Just when the disorder of baby seems too much, turn on this record and bring order into your soul and lull baby. Why not tune baby onto the greatest musician of them all: the master of complexity for parents who know how complex life with baby can be. ( Bach after all had 21 children -- the music comes from a man with a sense of order in complexity.) Great recording and superb music."
Just Wonderful
Emily Morgado | 11/18/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"For some, a CD of classical music is an intimidating purchase. However, I found this CD to be delightful, soothing, interesting and moving. There are well-known pieces like "Sheep May Safely Graze" mixed with less-known pieces. The recording quality is excellent and the musicians play beautifully. I would recommend this CD to anyone who takes an interest in classical music, whether or not it is their favorite type of music. This CD is just wonderful."
Not Just For Baby!
K. O'QUINN | 11/18/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a cd of beautifully played music. I'm sure that it is a recording that would be wonderful to have playing in the nursery, very soothing and comforting for a young child, but it is also music that adults will find both relaxing and inspiring. I have been listening to this cd for the past few days since receiving it and have really enjoyed it. The quartet is extremely good, all first-rate professionals and they play these classic works by Bach with great agility and passion. This is a great cd to calm the nerves and stir the spirit."
