Mind Blowing music !!

"This CD is Absolutely Terrific, the piano works, played by pianist Eliran Avni are really the music that one wants to hear. the works have not a bit, but A LOT of everything, many styles, colors and techniques which are fascinating and communicating to so many different tastes, Pianist Eliran Avni is a great virtuoso, his colors and emotional depth bring these piano works to the peek and it catches your attention every second it is played! I highly reccomend this CD of great Music and I hope to see more of Avner Dorman's music recorded soon so more of his works are avaiable! absolute enjoyment."
Delightful moments

"This CD is one of the most fresh, exciting and delightful recordings of contemporary music for piano I have heard in a while. I love the mixture of styles, the jazzy bits, the world music touches, the hints to the greatest composers of the 20th century, the neo-classicism and the overall connection between all of it. The performance is very imporessive - I was happy to get to know this new and young name, Eliran Avni, whom I hope to hear more of. Worth noting especially is the Azarbaijani Dance.

I am curious to hear this composer's orchestral music and I strongly recommend this CD.

"First of all, these are two names that I've never heard of. Now, after listening to this CD (many, many times, on repeat), I've heard them, and I hope to hear more of them.

Dorman's music is nice to listen to, interesting, and original. I especially like the "Techno" movement of the "Sonata no. 3 - Dance Suite" (the final song on the CD). It puts to mind actual techno music, but is entirely the piano and switches off from being crazy to being positively beautiful. The Sonata no. 1 (Classical) is also interesting and lovely. Like everything on the CD, it's good and shows promise regarding Dorman's other compositions. The "Azerbaijani Dance" is also quite different, but very nice to listen to.

The pianist deserves some recognition too. Eliran Avni plays everything very well (not that I'd know what it sounds like otherwise, but it sounds wonderful like this), and even has some pieces here that were written especially for him. I recommend this CD for piano fans looking for something new (though I recommend listening to samples first) and to any classical music listeners who like modern compositions. It's a great CD at a great price. I can't wait to hear Dorman's next thing."
