"this is, without a doubt, my favorite attrition album. 'at the fiftieth gate' is attrition at their melodic, song-writing-oriented best. it contains several danceable classics, like death truck and the title track, as well as containing some one-time-only diversions, e.g. the brillian 'milano (auto italian).'this particular re-issue includes a bonus 12 inch that rounds out an already wonderful album. sideways glance, to the devil, take five, and shotgun dream are all great songs that have been difficult to find until now.the layers of rythm and music on this album will keep any decent listener's interest for (as near as i can tell) eternity. 'at the fiftieth gate' is an indispensable part of any self-respecting synth-pop, darkwave, or industrial collection."
