CD Reviews

If your a devout fan buy it
James E. Shirock | Bethlehem PA, USA | 04/03/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This album is good, very good at times. But when original lead singer Deeder left two albums ago it really did hurt this group. Good news is they are slowly pulling themselves out of it. If your a fan you should be happy, but be aware, on this disc the boys head off a little closer to Transglobal Underground territory. The good news there is that it is similar to older TGU than newer TGU offerings. The last two ADF albums just aren't fully realized like the Community Music album was and certainly not as punk or aggressive. There are only hints of dub anymore and much more rootsyness. Flyover and Roundup are quality old style ADF songs but track two slows the tempo of the disc after the opener(Flyover) badly, and it takes some time to regain. ADF needs to go back to their roots on their next venture and hire the production team of Blag Dahlia and Eric Valentine to bless the project with their redhot talents.

PS- to the reviewer who was upset that it wasn't a dub album, congrats for being enough of a music fan to purchase an album simply based on the name and cover. I love blind pulls as I call them and thats how I found ADF oh so many years ago. My reaction was the exact same as yours but now I'm a big fan."

"It is impossible to say that album is not good (of course this is my personal idea), it is awesome!! Lyrics are smarter than their previous releases, their music is more catchy and fast-tempo than before. When you listen the whole album, you are forced to think about Mr. PRESIDENT (you know who is he).. This album is worth to listen many many times like their all stuff. Don't miss this intelligent album.."
This is a five star album.

"This is easily my favorite ADF record yet. It's beats are faster, more clever, and incredibly tight from beginning to end. This isn't the same Asian Dub Foundation from before. This album is more aggressive, passionate, and basically a big F U to the world leaders. BUY IT."
