"This is the only version of this concert which includes the extensive spoken radio commentary (in Italian). Although the execution and sound are not comparable to the contemporaneous NBC recordings of these selections, the historic nature of the occasion, the Maestro's last performance in Italy, makes this an important musical and historical document.
