Pure Romance

"This album was recorded from Marcovicci's live cabaret performances from a few years ago. She walks her audience through the waiting, longing and loving that was WWII...a time before email when love-birds pined for one another through the hardships of war. Or as she says, a time when it was called "falling in love" instead of "co-dependence". As with all Marcovicci's performances, she leads her audience through songs familiar and new with gentle, elucidating and often witty guidance so that you feel not only in touch with passion from a time gone by, but also better educated of a life time other than our own. If you love Andrea, then you'll love this album. If you've never heard her, then please do. You'll be scanning the Sunday papers to see when she's next performing in your home town!! And, you'll be falling in love over and over again just by listening."
Marcovicci Defines The True Definition of Cabaret

"This elegant lady was the first person I saw perform at a small Hollywood nighclub called The Gardenia. From that moment on, I was hooked. This CD was recorded live at the club and all the tracks are clear, and contain a wealth of songs from this tragic time that changed our world forever. I must say, besides my favorite male cabaret artists, Michael Poss and David Campbell, Andrea is at the top of my female list. I love her choice of songs from this era, and the songs contained on a recent CD purchase from an official website of recording artist, Michael Poss, entitled "Silver Screen Serenades". Both of these CD's complement each other, because both of these Cabaret performers tell interesting and romantic stories from another time and another era that most of us can only imagine. You're the tops, Andrea! I would love to hear both of these singers perform a duet together."
A lovingly done trip down memory lane.

"This live performance of her cabaret show is beyond any words of praise I can give it. The aura of the times is captured for all to hear. Her voice is a beautiful reminder of this long ago time in our lives. Her grace and elegance are reminders of what it was like to hear beautiful music being performed by singer who is both literate and talented, and sad to say both are in short supply today. The only minor flaw in the whole package is the sound level between the monolouges and the singing is not well balanced.Even so this is one of my all time favorites. To give you an idea of where I fit in time wise I was 15 when the war ended. I would someday love to see her perform."
