Beautiful Copland Sonata and Barber Canzone

"What I know about classical music could only half fill a thimble. However, I do know what I like. Gershwin's "3 Preludes" are delightful. The Copland "Sonata for Violin and Piano" is exceptionally well done. The Barber "Canzone for Violin and Piano" is a lovely finale. The entire CD is well worth listening to repeatedly. Previn and Shamam in top form - no wonder this won a Grammy Award."

Good showcase of American Composers.
