Eugene List was one these exceptional pianists gifted of outstanding vision and penetrating sense of the score.

He consecrated a good part of his ceaseless to diffuse the music of his fellow American countrymen composers, such as Gershwin. and Mac Dowell, for instance, but with remarkable around the figure of Louis Moreau Gottschalk, a fascinating personage of the American music, who contributed untiringly to the diffusion of the great music through admirable exercises of what we might regard theatrical devices.

But coming to the special significance of List, he was together with Earl Wild the maxim exponents of the piano in the first three decades, and explored new paths in what concerns to the diffusion of the great composers. His immense love for Liszt `s piano music is more than evident if you take a glimpse around his best achievements.

So, don' t miss this record. It's part of the artistic supremacy
