CD Reviews

Great acoustic unplugged set by America!
G. Fields | Worcester, MA United States | 07/06/2003

"I was very pleased with this live CD. Some real gems to be found here...Windwave, All My Life, The Pidgeon Song, and all the classics like Sister Golden Hair, A Horse With No Name, Daisy Jane, make this a great concert in an intimate setting. The harmonies and acoustic guitars really shine, breathing new life to these timeless songs. I highly recommend this CD to any fans of America."
A heart-warming concert

"I am a fan of America, and I own every album/CD that they released. I am pleased to listen to this live CD, as it gives me a heart-warming feeling like meeting with old friends. Most of the songs were simply played with acoustic guitars, and showed good harmony. It appears to me that throughout these 30 years, there is little change in the voice of Gerry and Dewey. But I miss the voice of Dan Peek. If he had performed in this conert, the sound would be richer and more harmonic. Anyway, this set of songs perfected America as one of the leading folk-rock band."
"A Touch Of Accoustic Heaven" Get Ready to be Carried Away!

"Hi!
I would definitely say this is a Must Have for sure! I have been a fan of AMERICA's music for almost 31 yrs.now. Hearing Gerry & Dewey do these great songs in all accoustics just takes my breathe away. The sound of these songs are sooo crisp and clear that You will feel like you were swept away to the Cayman Islands to take this in Live. Gerry will simply melt you with Daisy Jane, I Need You, Baby It's Up to You, and what a special treat to hear his heart touching ballad All My Life, I especially loved getting to hear To Each His Own & Another Try ~ both are early AMERICA favorites of mine for sure. Dewey too will touch you with Three Roses, Tin Man & what a surprise when you hear him sing Pigeon Song after all these years. The song Windwave was soo appropriate for this concert setting. It is always nice to hear Riverside, Ventura Hwy, these sound sooo great done just accoustically, Sister Golden Hair & Only in Your Heart will have you singing along, and Sandman will take you higher yet.... and then there is Horse With No Name the song that started this all those years ago. It still can capture you and have you singing along just like that. Sooooo if you Love AMERICA's music as much as I do, or if you haven't heard them for awhile and want to recapture the Magic ~~ I would say go ahead and order this Masterpiece now. I am sure you will Love it too, and if you are like me You can never get enough of their music for sure. Thanks Gerry & Dewey, and Hank Leiberman for making this Special event into a CD for all of us to Enjoy!
Nancy :)"
