"Fans of Al Gromer Kahn will not be dissapointed with his newest release. The first title, Opal Moon is atmopheric and ambient. One will quickly realize that this is another great CD from Gromer. Gromer often puts little riffs of sound against a constant droan of synthiszer. These riffs sound new and fresh. Opal Moon is great for morning meditation and just generaly spacing out. The pace changes with Black Princess. Somewhat more lively than Opal, it is never-the-less hypnotic. It is also dissapointing that this and the other tracks couldn't go on for a full hour themselves. This isn't to say that this CD is short, as it clocks in around 53 minutes. It's just that the rest of the songs are so enchanting, you hate to see them end. Gromer utilizes female vocals on The Paisley Handicap which is reminisant of Mahagony Nights CD. Judging by the recording date of 1991 for God Perfume II, both CD's were recorded around the same period. What is the most important element in Gromer's work is the feeling of being transported to another realm or an altered state, one in which the Sufi's strive for. Al Gromer Kahn takes us there with God Perfume II. In which case, I highly reccomend this CD."
