I was telling my wife about how cool it was awhile back and decided to see if I could find the cd. Since it had been so long I forgot how utterly haunting this cd was until I purchaesed the cd. Even though I do not speak Portuguese, I think that Madredeus's music touches the inner essence of any music lover. You'll find yourself singing along even though you don't know the words." They're - by far - one of the three best musical groups in the world. And the music they created for "Lisbon Story" (a minor, though interesting, film in Wim Wenders'filmography) is simply haunting. The music is so original, melancholic and beautifully arranged that you immediately will utter: "I had never heard such a different and suggestive melodies before". If you don't know "Madredeus" start with this one, probably their best. I have all their records, even the Live recitals, and I never get tired of listening to them. They are magic, poetry and pure beauty. Five stars only?"
