Synopsis

Product Description
Music as an awakening. Aeone (pronounced ay-own) delivers a powerful body of work in this 13-song cd. Point of Faith is multi-layered listening, uplifting to the heart and the spirit. With the unique vocal sound that has become her trademark, along with lush, cinematic arrangements and production, this beautifully-crated album takes one on a journey from mystical etherea to the dark and ancient longings of the soul in a tapestry of story, voice, sound and rhythm. A lyrical message of the human experience. Aeone creates rich thematic tracks by blending ethnic instruments and pads with strings and heavy grooves, alongside players such as Irish and Blue Grass fiddles allowing her voice to rise above it all. This album is a journey of huamn experience and is inward facing. It began as one song, Point of Faith, that was about belief in the self after great loss and great sadness and forgiveness of the self for all the mistakes of life that ends in an awakening. From there it grew, with each song a comment on a particular quality of the self and the spirit. A view from a window. There are different levels of meaning and different layers and qualities of sound within the music, simply because that is how I believe we are and how I see life. Multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. I am spiritual and at the same time, I am also physical and sensual. Ethnic instruments with strings, East West sounds and multilayered vocals with ambient grooves underscore the concept that we are all a part of everything, a part of each other. There is no separation really. Reviewers describe this album as ... more than compelling, Point of Faith is complex and powerful while etherial and haunting.... and ...Aeone has written, composed, arranged and produced a tidal wave of beautifully crafted contemporary music for the mystical half of our hearts and souls...

CD Reviews

Aeone-it, you should too
S. Collins | Council Bluffs, IA | 11/10/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There's 13 songs, half of which are absolutely stunning, haunting, mystifying, the rest are pretty good with only 1 so-so. Similar to Loreena (later stuff)in richness and depth of music, and does on a few songs sound like Kate Bush. Put this and Kate Price's Isle of Dreaming in your cd player, and settle in for a great 2 hours. For people who like: Loreena McKennitt, Secret Garden, Kate Price, Capercaillie, Amethystium and perhaps even Kate Bush fans. :o)"
Aeone just keeps getting better!

"I accidentally discovered Aeone on MP3.comback in 1999. Ever since then, her music has haunted me, spoken to me, reached into me and brought out the Celtic heritage I never knew I had. Her music is powerful, sensitive, stirring... her music is truly a work of art. I'm ecstatic that Umbra Nihili is finally on a CD... that song sends a shiver down my spine every time i hear it... for any artist to be able to harness that kind of power in a song is a miracle just waiting to be heard. The rest of the album follows suit, bringing forth an almost supernatural presence withits beauty. I can't stress enough how much I love Aeone... one listen, and I'm sure you'll agree."
A wonderful album

"I've been a fan of Aeone since I bought the soundtrack of 'The Mists of Avalon'. She has a hauntingly peaceful, yet strong feminine voice which is wonderful and relaxing to listen to.
Her songs are deep and meaningful that reaches inside your heart and translates its beats and rhythms into music and lyrics.
Anyone who loves to listen to celtic music should buy this album. Definitely recommended!"
