CD Reviews

Song not on soundtrack
L. Rock | East TN | 05/25/2009
(1 out of 5 stars)

"I'm judging this CD by the songs that were in the movie as to compared to what is on the soundtrack. It's deceptive to me to provide wonderful songs for the movie and not put them on the ST. All the songs I'm looking at on the ST are by Aaron Zigman; please know that I am not saying his material isn't well done but I was looking for one particular song; it played during the closing credits. It's by Madeleine Peyroux, "Getting Some Fun Out of Life." It's not on this soundtrack."

"Though I've come to love the soundtrack for it's calming intrumentals, I was acutely disappointed when it first arrived. I was specifically interested in the songs used in the movie and they were not on the soundtrack. Some of these songs are not available from the original artist. Other soundtracks I've ordered because of hearing songs I loved in the movie include all the songs performed by different artists as well as the intrumentals, so yes, it was a huge disappointment the individual artists were not included."
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT ARTIST SING ON THE MOVIE SOUNDTRACK

"ALOHA

SOMETIME YOU HEAR A BEAUTIFUL VOICE SINGING WONDERFUL LYRIC'S, YOU'VE ONLY HEARD ON AN MOVIE SOUNDTRACK. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHOM THE ARTIST IS, SO YOU CAN ENJOY MORE OF THEIR MUSIC. MOST OF THE MUSIC I'VE COME TO LOVE, I HEARD WATCHING A MOVIE. THEN TOOK THE TIME TO TRY AND FIND IT, TO BE DISAPPOINTED! YES THE SCORE IS IMPORTANT! BUT SO IS THE SONG'S YOU'RE USING TO EXPRESS THE EMOTIONS BEING SHARED BY THE MOVIE CHARACTER'S! SOMETIME RELATING TO THE CHARACTER'S. IS AS IMPORTANT AS RELATING TO THE SONG'S THAT ALSO STRIKE A CORD IN YOUR HEART. MOVIE MAKERS SHOULD VIEW THIS AS A LEARNING LESSON. IF IT'S IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO PUT THE SONG'S INTO THE MOVIE. THAN SHARE IT WITH THE FANS! THIS IS HOW SOME PEOPLE RECEIVE AN EDUCATION ABOUT THE ART'S. WITH THE MAGIC OF MUSICAL ART'S USED IN THE MOVIES! THEN PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD CAN ENJOY AMERICAN MUSIC AS WELL AS THE MOVIES! BOTTOM LINE YOU CAN MAKE JUST AS MUCH MONEY ON THE MUSIC AS THE MOVIE. ALL IN ALL A WIN WIN SITUATION!The Jane Austen Book Club
