30 Rock is an American television comedy series created by Tina Fey. The series is loosely based on Fey s experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live. 30 Rock takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy series depicted as airing on NBC; the name 30 Rock refers to the address of the GE Building where NBC Studios is located, 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Four full seasons have aired. The Soundtrack to 30 ROCK takes you through all four full seasons episodes. The series features a jaunty jazz score. Most of the score s melody is played by either clarinet, bass clarinet, or saxophone. The music is composed by Jeffery Richmond, who is also a producer for 30 Rock. Moreover, Richmond wrote the theme music, which was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award ® for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music. In 2009, 30 ROCK the series was nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards ®, the most ever in a single year for a comedy series.
