"When I was shopping around the other day, I came across 3 by accident, as I was looking for some other title with a T..ANYWAY, I saw it was on Metal Blade records, famous for having some great Death Metal acts, in fact thats what I thought 3 was going to be, but before I bought, I thought I come home and check them out first. Let me tell you I was very suprised to see that a Progressive Rock act got signed by Metal Blade, second, I was surpried that it was very good. I thought Metal Blade might be selling out, kinda like RoadRunner Records did replacing all their Death Metal Bands, with Nu and Pop Metal bands..Good thing I was wrong as 3 is a very unique band. If you are looking for Metal, you found the wrong band, but if you are looking for some good Progressive Rock, then you came to the right place. Metal Heads might even like this since it is so out of the ordinary and shows that rock and roll doesnt have to be commerical to be great (like horrible bands such as My Chemical Romance and Korn) Check this out if you are looking for something different. I only previewed part of the album, and most of it so far is 4 star material..ENJOY"
Like many others, I saw them live...

"I first heard of 3 when I saw them open for Coheed, and they totally blew Coheed out of the water. These guys are insane live and put on one of the best shows out there. They are all very talented musicians and Joey Eppard is an inspiration to any guitar player who chooses to play with his fingers and not a pick.

As for this cd, it's alright. It was a few months after I saw 3 that I finally found this guy, and I was a bit disappointed with it. I find the vocals to be a bit whiny and the music just doesn't have as much energy as it does live. The second track (where's max) is severly lacking in that there isn't some crazy guy screaming "ah" and "oh" to the rythm of the band (as there was live). Other tracks start out nice and heavy and somehow float into free form jazz somewhere along the line. The only track that gets close to the supreme ownage of 3 live is the hidden track at the end of "amazedisgrace".

I would most likely see 3 live again, but I'm not too sure about their studio work. This is an overall good effort, however."
Simply Amazing.

"This band, from the moment they came about, has had me captivated by its total ingenuity. The lyrics, the music, the vocals, is all completely amazing, there is just no other way to put it. If I could, I would rate this a 10."
