CD Reviews

Out with the old, in with the new..It's time for Romy&Marion

"The new 2 Unlimited is by far better than the old 2 Unlimited...if you liked the first 2 Unlimited...then you will love the new 2 Unlimited. Say goodbye to vocalist Anita and rapper Ray...we now have two bombshells known as Romy(The blonde one)and Marion(The Brunette one) as the lead singers for 2 Unlimited. The album includes very many upbeat, melodic songs that will pump you up and make you dance like crazy. Romy and Marion have very strong, distinctive voices. Some of the highlights of this album are "Wanna Get Up", a fun song with a great chorus that keeps you singing along, "Never Surrender",an upbeat Euro track with strong words and strong lyrics, a very good diva song."Edge of Heaven", a very good dance song with a great beat, and "Be Free Tonight", a great song with that 2 Unlimited sound we all know and love....very upbeat and very fun:0)...This album includes a little HiNRG, a little Drum and Bass, and even a little Disco!!! This album has something for everybody..a must buy for anyone who enjoys good dance music with strong beats, strong lyrics, and strong vocals."
As good as you remember it.

"When I heard that 2 Unlimited was getting back together, I thought to myself: That's outstanding, but can they be as awesome as they were in the past. I think that depends on what you liked the most about 2 Unlimited. I just remember the old euro-beats that each track had in the past, and thankfully, that feeling is back, especially with "The Edge of Heaven", "Never Surrender", "Someone to Get There", and "Be Free Tonight". There is also some great drum & bass in "Closer 2U". Everything you had hoped a new 2 Unlimited would be and more is here. A word of advise, though, to 2 U: Don't make your releases too simple and top 40ish like "Wanna Get Up" and "Move On Up". Very annoying. Those are just CD fillers in my opinion. Hopefully though, it looks like 2U's future could be very bright at least in Europe."
