It is actually SPELLED 'N-E-O' (pronounced nee-yo). And the word 'neo' literally means new. It is called this because it renews your soul. RARELY do you listen to neo soul music and not feel different afterwards. It's conscious music that forces you to become aware of your surroundings and your inner self and opens your 'third-eye,' so to speak, but I have probably already said too much already...
