I recall a country song by a duo like Jones/ Wynnette. The man speaks of sitting on a mountain, looking out and owning everything he sees and he wonders, Does she ever think of him? At the same time she's getting ready to go downstairs from her little apartment to her job in the bar below and she wonders, Does he ever think of her? Seems like it Jones but maybe with another partner before Tammy. Does anyone know of this obscure song?

Listening to classic country on cable TV, I heard this song. It is George & Tammy and the name is Southern California.
