Beethoven's monumental String Quartet Op. 130 with its original conclusion the "Grosse Fuge" Op. 133, plus Haydn's String Quartet in C, Op. 4/2 (one of the Tost Quartets). Played by the Lindsay String Quartet. This is a wonderful compilation by the leading British string quartet, originally released on ASV recordings, now selected by BBC Music. I'm listing it only because I have all three pieces performed by the Lindsays on other discs. |
