Extreme even by black metal standards, Dead to This World was formed in Bergen, Norway, in 2002 as a solo project by vocalist and bassist Iscariah (ex-Enchanted, ex-Immortal, etc.), but expanded into a full band with the arrival of spectacularly named guitarist Goatpromoter Lava (ex-Aeternus, Taake) and drummer Mord.
