Album Review

Superhits is a budget-priced ten-track collection that includes Scott McKenzie's biggest hit, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)," and his other chart entry, "Like an Old Time Movie." Also included are versions of Tim Hardin's "Reason to Believe" and "Don't Make Promises," the Mamas & the Papas' "Twelve-Thirty," and the Lovin' Spoonful's "It's Not Time Now." Casual fans, those who only want the hits, should find this preferable to the 22-track Stained Glass Reflections: Anthology, 1960-1970, but serious fans should bypass this collection in favor of that one. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
