Album Review

This is an excellent single-disc compilation of both the Gatlin Brothers and Larry Gatlin's solo Columbia recordings from the late '70s to early '80s. These ten tracks highlight the majority of radio favorites, including "All the Gold in California," "Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer to You)," "Broken Lady," and "Night Time Magic." Even though a few favorites were omitted ("The Lady Takes the Cowboy Everytime," "Denver"), this is an inexpensive way to collect the Gatlins' close harmony and pop-inspired country. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
