Album Review
This 2004 release has a goodly number of Bob Dylan classics -- the de riguer "Like a Rolling Stone," "Subterranean Homesick Blues," "The Times They Are A-Changin'," etc -- but there are also some head-scratching choices, such as the spoken word obscurity "If Dogs Run Free." That's easily the worst here, with the rest of the left-field choices being such strong numbers as "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest," "Foot of Pride," and "Song to Woody," so overall this is a pretty good collection although it's not quite clear who exactly in the intended audience for this. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
