It's easy to look at the lineup listed on the front cover of this Herbie Hancock volume called, generically enough, Anthology, to comprehend that this is the Mwandishi band, which would give way very quickly to the Headhunters group a couple of years later. That said, this set is basically a live boot version of the licensed collection Jazz to Funk on Australia's AIM imprint -- which contains more music. The sound quality is iffy at times, but the tape comes from a radio broadcast and is generally quite good. That said, one has to be a real fan of this period of Hancock's work to enjoy this fully, and not have any scruples about owning a CD whose source is perhaps quite shady. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
