Album Review
As part of Universal's 20th Century Masters: Millennium Collection, this 12-song disc highlights Hank Williams MGM material originally released in the late '40s and early '50s. The track listing is in chronological order starting with "I'm a Long Gone Daddy," a Top Ten hit from 1947, followed by the number one hits "Cold, Cold Heart," "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love with You)," "Half as Much," and "You Win Again." This second volume also includes several hits that were left off of the initial Millennium Collection in 1999 including "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "A Mansion on the Hill," "My Bucket's Got a Hole in It," and the final song released by Hank Williams in his lifetime, the chilling "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive." ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
