This represents
Scott Fitzgerald's move into the area of neo-shamanic music. Using appropriate nature sounds to introduce each piece (fire, water, thunder, etc.)
Scott uses synthesizers and drums to create a dynamic ambience intended to "explode the mind, move the body and fire the soul." Much of the feeling here, from the catchy title and artwork to the music itself, draws its inspiration from Native American culture, with flute-like sounds and echo-heavy drums dominating. However, African influences are also incorporated, while on "Sampan," his synthesizer creates a lively interpretation of Chinese music. Thunderdrums is a strong addition to the growing body of work linking electronics to primal rhythms. ~ Backroads Music/Heartbeats, All Music Guide
