Album Review

Johnny Cash and June Carter met in the mid '50s and quickly became the first couple of country music, gaining icon status as much for their association with each other as for the occasional music they made together. This set features several duets between the two, mostly covers of well-known pop and country songs, and while everything is pleasant, nothing here is anything close to essential, although die-hard fans of the couple may want this for the sake of completeness. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
