Album Review
While the song selection on Legacy's Hank Williams' compilation Honky Tonk Hero is anything but complete (a difficult achievement, to be fair), and huge hits like "Cold Cold Heart," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "There's a Tear in My Beer," and "Honky Tonk Blues" are all missing from it, there still are some reasons -- namely, the inclusion of the hard to find "I'll Be a Bachelor Till I Die" and "On the Banks of the Old Ponchartrain" -- that make the album an appealing purchase. Plus, favorites like "I Saw the Light," "I'm a Long, Gone Daddy," and "Move It on Over" are also found on the collection, so while it's not the best choice for someone looking to learn about Williams' legacy (especially considering the lack of notes), it's a reasonable selection for an already dedicated fan. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
