Still doin' it for the faithful,
Dread Zeppelin's 2005 collection of leftovers, remixes, and live tracks finds the band as fun as ever and doing just fine. The audio portion of Chicken and Ribs adds up to an EP's worth of music with one track repeated, but it hangs together well and offers a couple sounds you won't hear in the band's live show. ambient house-influence mix while "Immigrant Song" is tranced out.

Billy Zoom contributes some guitar to the title track, the band does a loose and laid-back take on "Kung Fu Fighting," and "Viva Las Vegas" appears twice, once in its version for the television show American Casino. Good, fun stuff, but it's the extra DVD that should make fans extra happy.
