Album Review
There are so many Hank Williams collections on the market that one can afford to be picky, and while this one has the bare-bones essentials like "Your Cheatin' Heart," "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)," and "Hey, Good Lookin'," as well as lesser known gems like the haunting "Mansion on the Hill" and the eerily prophetic "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive," there is really no excuse for leaving out songs like the beautifully realized "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." This set will do in a pinch, but there are better Hank Williams collections out there that feature more depth and range. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
