Brent Bourgeois is almost a pop music master, much like his former producer Todd Rundgren (in fact, Bourgeois and Rundgren are very similar vocally). A Matter of Feel opens strongly with "Funky Little Nothing," which is, indeed, funky little ear candy. The follow-up song, "I'm Down With You," is a nice duet with Robert Palmer. There's not a bad song among the other ten tunes on this album and, in fact, there are a few highlights, including the closing tune "Silent Partner (Talk To Me)." ~ Tim Griggs, All Music Guide
