Album Review
Disky's 2003 Maddy Prior and Tim Hart compilation couldn't have come at a worse time. Long out of print, their pivotal Folk Songs of Olde England, Vol.1 and Vol. 2, were highly sought after by british folk aficionados, and the appearance of tracks from those records -- as well as selections from Summer Solstice -- left many fans clamoring for a more thorough reissue. In October of that same year, Castle released everything the duo recorded together -- outside of Steeleye Span -- on the exhaustive two-disc set, Heydays. While the Disky release is bereft of any "bad" songs, its omission of more than half of the pair's recorded output -- all of which is remarkable -- and the existence of the Castle anthology, makes this chop-job irrelevant. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
