Album Review
Since Hank Williams was propelled to such legendary status over such a short career, it should be expected that his marketability would be seized upon by a fair number of labels of varying quality that intend to make some quick money off his name. Cheating Hearts falls somewhere in the middle of this quality list, providing many of Williams' memorable songs in good fidelity, but falls rather flatly below the much more comprehensive 40 Greatest Hits, which has been the benchmark of Hank Williams collections since 1978. There's nothing particularly bad about the collection, but far better deals do exist. ~ Gregory McIntosh, All Music Guide
