Album Review
Steve Roach's Truth & Beauty is yet another fantastic release from the keeper of the Timeroom. This collection of works sees Roach putting together a compilation of some of his rare, unreleased works and things that have shown up on other recordings and compilations. The music that makes up Truth & Beauty spans a period of almost ten years, and showcases a lot of different periods of his work, mostly throughout the 1990s; surprisingly, though, this collection is very cohesive and runs together well, as if it were all recorded during the same sessions. Truth & Beauty is a strong and powerful release, and it really showcases the excellent work that Roach can do. This is definitely a great recording from his desert period as it really portrays a profoundly tribal aesthetic. ~ Matt Borghi, All Music Guide
