Album Review
Though this CD has no discographical information, it contains nine demos and six live tracks recorded by The Sex Pistols in 1976-1977. This material has been recycled endlessly on various labels, but as mastered by Steve Hoffman, it is at least in good sound, and the disc has a generous 52-minute running time. Included are early versions of Pistols hits such as "Anarchy in the U.K.," "God Save the Queen," and "Pretty Vacant," as well as live versions of songs the band never committed to vinyl, "I'm s Lazy Sod," "No Lip," and the Who's "Substitute." If you don't already have some of this material on an earlier compilation, it will make a good complement to The Sex Pistols' one official studio album, Never Mind The Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
