Album Review
The limited-edition, Japanese-only collection, The Greatest, is a servicable survey of XTC's singles covering the ground between "Science Friction" and "The Disappointed." And while a hefty price tag and general scarcity defeat the supposed purpose of the collection, the inclusion of several live tracks -- "This Is Pop?," "Living Through Another Cuba," and "Generals and Majors" -- as well as the single version of "Respectable Street" and the extended version of "Senses Working Overtime," make this a must-have for collectors. Maybe that was the real point anyway. ~ Chris Woodstra, All Music Guide
