The least impressive entry in Del-Fi's doo wop series has fair but undistinguished obscurities, some of which (as in the series' other installments) lean closer to rock & roll or even early soul than classic doo wop. There's an early-'60s, pre-Motown effort by Brenda Holloway, and Earl Nelson (later half of Bob & Earl of "Harlem Shuffle" fame) has a couple of sides under the moniker Chip Nelson. Prentice Moreland definitely chalks up the weirdest tracks, with his R&B-Charlie Chan fusion on "Chinese Junk," and an exotica-tinged R&B ballad with "Looking for Your Heart." ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
