Album Review
Junior Relaxer is a step forward, or a step back, depending on how you look at it. After receiving the full Bill Laswell dub treatment on Project Twinkle, the band's sound seems far more simple in the hands of producer Guy Fixsen. Rather than being more primitive, however, Junior Relaxer takes all of the dub influences from the last album and brings them across in a cleaner, more direct fashion. Not only that, but "Rational" (another near-hit single) appears to actually be trying to say something, politically. Early copies of the CD included a bonus CD with remixed versions of tracks from Project Twinkle. ~ Sean Carruthers, All Music Guide
