Album Review

Although this Charly release is by no means the definitive collection of Cash's Sun Records sides (you'll have to turn to the Bear Family releases for that), it does manage to cover many of the more interesting recordings. A spate of two-for-one releases of the Sun compilation albums have turned up since the release of this set, with the final track lists revealing an alarming amount of duplication. This set should serve as a good introduction for latter-day Cash fans who want to make sense of the Sun material. ~ Steven McDonald, All Music Guide
