Album Review
The 1984 collection Fame & Fashion rounds up 12 hits from the previous decade and a half, concentrating on the relatively recent recordings (roughly half of this dates from Station to Station on); it also contains "1984," which may not have been a big hit but it surely fit the year of this release. This is hardly definitive -- "Ziggy Stardust" and "Suffragette City" are absent, for starters -- but as samplers go it isn't bad, as there isn't a bad song here. Sure could have used a more attractive album cover, though. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
