Surface - 2nd Wave

A good followup album for the New Jersey trio, who were hot tickets at the end of the 1980s. They were a nice harmonizing three-member unit, but didn't have an Eddie Levert to punctuate things, and they weren't consistently productive songwriters or performers. Still, "Shower Me With Your Love" and "You Are My Everything" filled the airwaves in 1988 and 1989. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
