ABBA's 19-song Gold collection was the first hits compilation prepared specifically for the CD format by the 1970s supergroup, and, appearing after a period of several years in which their music had been off the market, was a welcome addition to the catalog. Irresistible! Abba was brilliant at turning out catchy dance tunes, evidenced by hit after hit on this cd. this is a must-have if you enjoyed 'Mamma Mia' or the charming movie 'Muriel's Wedding' - and 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.' Madonna sampled 'A Man After Midnight' for her hit 'Hung Up.'

Thid CD has never been opened, but ABBA's music is enjoying a resurgence in the broadway show Mamma Mia and a documentary. The songs on this CD will be familiar to anybody who ever heard ABBA.
